How to Copy a TikTok Video Link

Updated

A usable TikTok video link should identify one specific public post. Copying the address from the video itself gives a downloader a clearer source than copying a profile, search page, hashtag feed, or message preview. The exact buttons differ between the TikTok mobile app and a desktop browser, but the goal is the same: obtain the share URL for the individual video.

Copy a TikTok Link in the Mobile App

  1. Open TikTok on your iPhone or Android device.
  2. Open the exact video you want to reference.
  3. Tap the Share button beside the video. Its icon normally looks like an arrow.
  4. Choose Copy link from the available sharing actions.
  5. Paste the copied URL into a note or browser address bar if you want to inspect it before using it.

If Copy link is not visible immediately, scroll through the sharing actions. The creator's privacy settings, your region, or the current app version can affect which actions appear. Do not copy text from the caption and assume it contains the video URL; use the Share menu whenever possible.

Copy a TikTok Link in a Desktop Browser

  1. Open the TikTok website and navigate to the individual video.
  2. Confirm that the video plays and the page is not a profile or feed.
  3. Use TikTok's Copy link action, or copy the complete URL from the browser address bar.
  4. Keep the protocol and full path, including the video identifier.

A typical final desktop address points to a creator and a numbered video path, for example tiktok.com/@creator/video/1234567890. The number here is only an example. A real link must come from the actual public video.

Short Share Links and Final Video URLs

Mobile sharing may produce a short address using a TikTok redirect domain such as vm.tiktok.com or vt.tiktok.com. A short link can be valid when it redirects to one public video. To verify it, open the link in a normal browser and check that the final page is the intended video rather than a login screen, profile, removed post, or general feed.

Share messages sometimes include a caption, username, promotional text, and URL in one block. When pasting into a downloader, submit only the URL. Extra punctuation or text attached to the address can make an otherwise valid link appear malformed.

Public and Private Post Limitations

A copied link does not guarantee that the video is publicly available. Private-account posts, friends-only videos, deleted posts, age-limited media, and region-restricted videos may open for one signed-in viewer but remain unavailable to a browser-based tool. SaveHub does not ask for TikTok login credentials and cannot use a copied URL to bypass account permissions.

Use the Link with SaveHub

After checking the URL, open the TikTok video downloader for the supported-link workflow and common TikTok processing errors. Download only videos that you own, have permission to use, or are otherwise allowed to save under applicable rules.
